Destination: Stirling Council
For the destination of Stirling Council we are leaving Argyll and Bute Council. We will continue seeing the sights along the road from Glencoe.
Finding a place to stay in Stirling that is budget friendly can be a challenge. However, just outside of Stirling is the lovely town of Callander. Along with less expensive stays, Callander has excellent bakeries and fun shopping. They also aren’t booked up as quickly as in the heart of Stirling.

Stops to Make on the A82

I’m beginning to understand why it takes so long to get places in Scotland! How can you not make a few stops or slow down for the beautiful sights?

Ending the Destination: Stirling Council Tour
There is even more to see and do than I have listed here in Destination: Stirling Council. This is pretty much what we had hoped to experience in the 2020 trip that didn’t happen. For instance, we were all looking forward to walking to the beautiful Old Stirling Bridge from the Bayne’s Family Bakery. The plan for our dream trip was to also enjoy a goodie from the bakery!
I found the Stirling Bagpipes shop on Google Maps by accident. It is close to the Mercat Cross. It looks like a fascinating shop even if you don’t play bagpipes!
Make sure that you are signed up for emails if you want to compare my daily itinerary spreadsheet with what actually happens each day. I will post pictures at the end of each day, but the itinerary spreadsheet will only be available in the email for subscribers.
