Destination: Argyll & Bute Council

I seem to start each Scotland destination commenting on how much there is to see and do there. Argyll and Bute Council is no exception. In fact, we are only going to look at a wee bit of this council. Hopefully Oban and the Isles will be a future post for a 2026 trip.
If you are traveling from Glencoe to the Stirling area, a small strip of the A82 goes through Argyll and Bute Council. However, if you continue on the A82, heading west towards Glasgow, you will drive along the west side of Loch Lomond. We are looking at this vicinity.

As you can see, you can take as long as you please getting from Point A to Point B traveling along Loch Lomond. This is a great place to incorporate side trips along the way. I discovered something quite fun while finding information about this area. This section of Scotland has FAERIES! Just be very careful, and respectful of them if you decide to search them out, or… well… there are plenty of warnings of what could happen if you don’t!
