SCOTLAND DREAMS
June 2020 I was supposed to be going on an Epic Adventure to Scotland. It was all planned. To visit historic sites, castles and museums we had gotten our National Trust for Scotland and Historic Environment Scotland memberships. Our tickets for the Jacobite Loch Ness Cruise were purchased. The AirBnBs were reserved. We had plane tickets and the car rented. And then the world fell apart. Pandemic. Everything got cancelled, but life went on and our plans became dreams.
My mum got tired of hearing about, “Someday, we will get our trip to Scotland”. She said it was time to make dreams a reality for a trip to Scotland in 2025. So I did! Very prayerfully, like Gideon in the Bible, I ‘put out the fleece’ and started working and saving. God has blessed me with many opportunities to work towards the trip. He also blessed with flight tickets BEFORE the prices started going up. We got the flight to Scotland, for June 2025, booked in September. The prices started going up in October. As soon as we had our flight, we booked our stays. This was a good thing because a month later there was nothing available.
Since there has been so much interest in the entirety of this trip to Scotland, I will continue to post updates on the planning progress, as well as a picture journal of the trip once we actually get to Scotland. I’ve started a UK Travel Tip section because of the fabulous advise that I have been getting. So, if you have been to Scotland, or anywhere abroad, please share some of your experiences.
