Destination: Perth and Kinross Council

The destination of Perth and Kinross Council is in central Scotland. As with all of the council destinations there is much to see and do in Perth and Kinross.
In the 2020 Scotland trip we were going to spend time in Dollar which is in Clackmannan Council. Since it’s such a small council, I’m including it with our Perth and Kinross Council destination.
Perth & Kinross Council Sights that Border Stirling Council
- Glenartney Church – Google Review: Enter Glen Artney Church car park on the right. A gate leads you to a tranquil spot by ‘The Water Of Ruchill’ riverbank. Discover hand coloured stone art along riverside ( as of August 2023 ) home to wild meadow flowers and orchids in the spring.
- Drummond Castle and Gardens
- Ardoch Roman Fort & nearby sites
- Sheriffmuir Lifting Stones

Bonus Destination: Clackmannan Council

In 2020 we were going to be staying a couple nights at a lovely AirBnB in Rumbling Bridge. It’s centrally located with all of the amenities. Isn’t it fabulous?!
One of the things that we were looking forward to was a Japanese Garden Tea Room. In Scotland! It happens to be in Clackmannan Council with quite a few other very interesting looking places to visit.
Finishing the Explorations of our Council Destinations
There is so much to explore in the destination of Perth and Kinross Council as well as the much smaller Clackmannan Council. As with all of the Scotland destinations, I won’t be there nearly long enough to experience everything. If you have been in this area, what were your favorite sights? What would be your top priority to see if you were traveling to Perth and Kinross or Clacknannanshire?
