Destination: Glasgow City Council
As you will see looking at Destination: Glasgow City Council, there are a ton of family friendly parks and hiking areas in Glasgow and the surrounding councils. This includes our bonus councils of Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire. In fact, there are many, many more beautiful outdoor spaces than we will have time to look at in this post.
Also note that the Antonine Wall continues into Glasgow.

Diving into the destination of Glasgow City

In & Around Glasgow Cathedral

I always read the Google Maps reviews! They are quite informative. Some of them are rather hilarious.
“Don’t be misled by Google Maps and end up at the Lady Well pub…”
Actually, there are many humorous reviews telling how Google Maps sends people astray. I’ve had a little better luck with iMaps. If anyone has a map app that they love, please share with the rest of us in the comments!

Exploring beyond Glasgow City Center

Moving towards Renfrewshire Council
Bonus Council #1: Renfrewshire Council
While putting together the information on Destination: Glasgow City Council, I saw that the Glasgow Airport is in Renfrewshire. Of course, that means that I get to continue exploring. There is another William Wallace Monument. It is much smaller than Stirling’s Wallace Monument!

Bonus Council #2: East Renfrewshire Council
Once you fall down the Google Maps rabbit hole, it’s hard to stop! It was impossible for me to not do East Renfrewshire Council. It also has amazing sights to visit.

Exploring Glasgow City, Renfrewshire & East Renfrewshire Conclusion
The conclusion that I came to while working on these destinations is that one day isn’t enough! A week might give enough time to really have a chance to see and enjoy this incredible area of Scotland. There are so many places that there won’t be time to see while I’m in Scotland. I’ve tried to find information, pictures, and video that makes it FEEL like I’ve actually been. I hope that you enjoy exploring all of the councils as much as I am!

I’m so glad that this post was helpful to you. Enjoy your adventures!
Helpful info. Lucky me I found your site by
chance, and I am stunned why this accident didn’t happened
in advance! I bookmarked it.
I’m happy that it was helpful info! The time that I spent in Glasgow was too short but totally amazing. I will be posting about all of my adventures starting with day 1 in Falkirk. It’s just taking a little time with over 2400 pics and 107 videos.
